What would give me more power for a cheap home brew wind power system?

I have to build a vertical or horizontal Axis Wind Turbines for this? We get a decent amount of wind, every year (12 MPH in winter and 8 mph in summer), the turbine would not exceed 20 feet. So I have a VAWT or HAWT? If you say VAWT not say 'because it's easier' cause I need more I can get more power outta this. … Read entire article »

Magnetic Power Generator

Magnetic Power Generator

take power repulsive and attractive natural magnets, in order to induce movement in badminton. This fly is in turn connected to a small turbine through a gear assembly, and when the wheel runs pushes the turbine, thus producing electricity. Another feature of the Magnetic is its very easy and simple to build-functionality. All individuals who have basic mechanical knowledge can build a DIY magnetic power generator referring to different … Read entire article »

VAWT: Building a Mag-Lev VAWT wind turbine parts cheap. . . . . . . .

Design: The Perfect Mag-Lev VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) This design allows you to build the perfect VAWT parts cheap, which should be able to generate a hell of a lot of power. Since a-Mag Lev is almost frictionless, so efficiency can not possibly get any better than this. You will need: plywood 3 round plates, 3 Ft diameter of 0. 5 inches thick with 2 holes in the center 32 inch neodymium disc magnets, N45 (available in red / blue video, red is the North Pole) 4 neodymium magnets Torus, N45 (available in red / blue video red is the North Pole) 32 small plastic spools of copper wire, 14 gauge solid insulated enamel (per roll) 1 steel tube, 4 feet long, 2 cm thick, with support legs mountable … Read entire article »
